Acrylic and ink.

I probably wouldn't have thought of drawing the scene from this angle without having first made the digital sculpt of the character.
It looks like yet another illustration for a story which I'll never get round to writing.

The 3D sculpt looks amazing, but I do prefer the illustration :)
Those mechanical wasps seem quite dangerous, by the way :o

Yep if you ever come across wasps like that you'd better run  :D

Unless I'm using a steel armor... in which case, I may avoid the stings, but I wouldn't be able to move either because of the weight :/
Great design, btw: love the mechanical wasps :D

Ta v much, as well as being helpful in producing this illustration the sculpt was fun to make in its own right. :)

How lovely!
The color looks amazing, I loved how you worked with foliage in the background without making it stand out to the front. The action looks great too.

Thanks Jade, I'm happy that you like this one I think it turned out well. Often when completing a piece I feel a little disappointed with my efforts, but not in this case.  :)

I think similar, for me it's a way to know my critic eye is getting better concerning my work, if I found old work of mine "not so good" when I originally thought it was good, I think it's because I've gotten a little better (well, at least I'll try to do it with better eyes next time).

I'm honoured... you both have an open invitation...er... after I've re-decorated...say: by July 1st approx....  though why you would even think of being "here" rather than where you are in July,  momentarily escapes me.... ;)

Thanks Peter, nice of you, we are rather unlikely to take you up on the invite though; visiting the old country is expensive and we only do it once a year to see the kids and grandkids.
Please don't ever mention decorating again I'm doing my best to turn a blind eye to our living room. :D
